Reid Metal Finishing provides Chemical Film chemical conversion coating for aluminum. Our customers’ metal parts have a higher corrosion resistance when our chem film process is applied to them.
Some regions on a metal surface cannot be anodized, like delicate or complicated geometries. In such cases, those parts of the component are masked to protect them.
Water immersion aims to test the resilience and corrosion resistance of a component anodized or plated by immersing it in a damp environment.
Pre-plate stress relief can be applied to metals undergoing significant machining treatment. Internal stress builds up within the metal material and on the surface during machining. Pre-plate stress relief optimizes surface properties and reduces internal wear before surface treatment.
Post-plate embrittlement relief removes hydrogen that would cause the component to become brittle and improves the material’s overall properties.
