Supporting Our Community and Our Heritage

Recently, the team at Reid Metal Finishing came together to support our local Heritage Museum. Every summer, we come together to work on a big project aimed at helping our community. This summer, on July 25th-26th, we helped out our neighbors at the Heritage Museum of Orange County with cleaning up their outdoor facilities!

Over the course of two days, our team split up into groups to help clean up and refurbish some of the outdoor spaces for the heritage museum. One group sanded the pergola in their pavilion area and pruned some of the plant life that had taken over parts of the pergola. Another group spent the days cleaning up the gardens and moving mulch around to different parts of the facility. Others gave the various picnic tables around the museum a fresh coat of paint.

RMF’s team enjoyed our time helping the Heritage Museum as well as the tour of the facilities that the museum’s staff treated us to. We are always looking for ways to invest in our community and we value the history of our local county–though the museum’s century of history puts our 30 years to shame! We’re grateful for the opportunity to support and give back to our neighbors, and look forward to more opportunities like this in the future.

About the Heritage Museum of Orange County

Heritage Museum of Orange County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to prefergin, promoting, and restoring the county’s heritage through hands-on educational programs, community events, and history exhibitions. This cultural and natural history center also provides environmental stewardship opportunities for students and visitors of all ages. The history of the museum’s centerpiece building dates back to 1898, and much of the original structure and surrounding buildings are still intact and well preserved to this day.
